Most removals run $400 to $2,200. Rex properties tend to be larger and more wooded than the built-up parts of Clayton County, which often means room to drop a tree cleanly and a lower price — until it’s leaning over the house, at which point it’s a rigging job. Free written quote either way.

The loblolly pines nearest the house, first. They fail intact in saturated clay after heavy rain, and the tallest one closest to the roof is the one that matters. After that, water oaks with hollow bases or fungal brackets at the root flare. Read signs of a dangerous tree and call for a free look.
Yes — 24/7, 365, live dispatch at (404) 426-8613. Rural-edge properties often lose access before they lose power; if a tree is blocking your only way out, say so when you call.

Dormant season — late autumn through winter — is usually easiest: no leaves to handle, better visibility of structure, less lawn damage, and less stress on neighbouring plantings. That said, a hazardous tree should come out whenever it’s identified, not when the calendar suits. More on timing a removal.
